CHELSEA TO FACE EVERTON

Chelsea is ready to for a clash with Everton after it defeated Arsenal on Saturday The 18th of april in a tight fought match.Arsenal were the first to open their account in the 18th minute when Walcott scored the first goal of the match and put Arsenal in the lead.Then Chelsea came back in the 33rd minute when Malouda scored the equilizer.The match was heading towards a draw till the 84th minute when Drogba found the nets past the Arsenal goal keeper.

It was a totally different drama in the Manchester United versus Everton match.The match looked as if it was heading to be a high goal scoring match but both teams could not find way past the opponent goal keepers.The match went into Penalty shootout after the extra time.Everton's goalie Howard was more resilient than the Manchester goal keeper.Everton comfortably headed into the finals after taking a 4-2 lead in the penalty shootout.
The finals are due to be held on the 30th of April.

CHELSEA ON TOP OF THEIR GAME

Chelsea slashed Liverpool to a 3-1 defeat on Thursday,entering into the second league of the quarterfinals of the UEFA Championship a very confident team.The Chelsea team under the new manager Guus Hiddink emerged as a force not to be wreckened with.Chelsea is one of the two teams apart from Barcelona to enter into the second league with a lead,while the other teams ended with a draw in the first league.
In the first league Chelsea started the day conceding a goal in the 6th minute of the game of Torres.Then came in the surprise for Chelsea from the Serbian defender Ivanovic who scored his very first goal for Chelsea in the 39th minute.The game went into a draw in the first half,then it was Ivanovic who scored a similar goal in the 67th minute to everyone's delight giving Chelsea the lead over Liverpool.
Drogba,the centre forward who gave the Liverpool defenders a hard time looked in good touch but did not quite have the finishing needed to put Chelsea into a comfortable lead in the first half. He continued his form in the second half and scored a splendid goal in the 84th minute putting Chelsea in the comfortable back seat.

CHELSEA - ON A WINNING STREAK

Chelsea,who have clinched the second place out of Liverpool are on a winning streak.They were the formidable opponents during the opening stages of the league.But turned out to be lagging in confidence and the spirit to fight during the middle stages.Now they are back with the same spirit they had during the starting stages.With just seven points behind the leader,they are making up the ground they have lost.
With the newly found confidence Drogba is back on track.Essien,who was out for a long time because of injury is back and in full fledged mode.Manu better watch their backs,as Chelsea are back on track.

CHELSEA BACK IN THE TITLE RACE

Chelsea who were behind Manchester United and Liverpool, are back in the title race after Saturday's win over Wigan.In the other hand Liverpool lost 2-0 to Midldesborogh.This has put Chelsea in the second place right behind Manchester united.Chelsea who were in superb form after their win over Juventus were trying to get back in the race after they went down in the Premier league table.
Chelsea had the lead over the match for most part of the match thanks to a stunning goal by Terry,the leading goal scorer in Chelsea(playing defense).Then Wigan were back with a equaliser shattering the dreams of still staying in the race.Then a superb header by Frank Lampard saved the day for Chelsea.

ANELKA BAGS A HAT TRICK-CHELSEA INTO THE QUARTER FINALS OF THE FA CUP

The Chelsea Forward striker had a very good match against Watford during Saturday's match in the FA cup -4th round ,to ensure the struggling team to make it to the quarter finals of the FA cup.

Tamas Priskin legged the ball into the nets in the 20th minute of the second half establishing a lead but the single goal could not help seal the fate of the mighty blues, who with their two forward players Anelka and Drogba ,who seemed to be in very good touch helped to win the match.

Anelka scored the first in the 75th minute from a corner shot by Frank Lampard to level the scores 1-1 .Then within two minutes the former Bolton player netted the ball again to give Chelsea the lead.Then it was a matter of minutes before the match was over when Anelka scored the hat-trick.

Guus Hiddink,the new manager of Chelsea was excited by his team's performance.Chelsea advance into the quarter finals of the FA cup ensuring a shot at the title.
